| Project overview: | Lead bay windows are a very important architectural feature on many Victorian terraced houses.
This particular example has a timber perimeter gutter that has been lined in lead with a central expansion joint. The reason that we prefer to use timber is so that the angles of the bay can be precisely mitred so as to prevent leaking gutter joints in the future which could allow water to ingress into the property. This particular detail provides a very functional and aesthetically pleasing solution to the lead roof on a Victorian terraced bay window top. |
